Biometric security can be achieved through biometric authentication systems. Tactim is a registered trademark providing completely new patented identification systems, based on the analysis of the vibration created by the movement of a finger on the authentication devices. Biometrics and the MEMS technology are one of today's economy most growing sectors. Click the link below to access our biometric authentication devices descriptions.
Biometric authentication systemsTactim is the first company to introduce the advances provided by the MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) technology into the world of biometrics, and more precisely biometric security. Our authentication system completely relies on a microelectromechanical chip and is coupled with a software realizing the analysis of the biometric informations given by the device. In this part of the site you will get some information about the MEMS technology.
MEMSBiometric access and physical authentication have become important elements of today's biometric security. While being a top-research company in the domain of biometric identification, Tactim is also involved in the development of a new standard developped by the ITU (International Telecommunications Union) and referred to as Recommendation X-tb (for tele-biometrics). This standard, still in development, intends to define the interactions between telecommunication systems and a human body in terms of biometric security, privacy, and ecology. Bringing these liabilities together with biometric identification (using MEMS) is our goal. In this part of the site you will discover how these three liabilities (security, privacy and ecology) are linked together by the biometrics security standard.
